BAD VIDEO ART FESTIVAL

Brittany "B.Monét" Fennell is a writer/director who graduated from Spelman College with a B.A. in English. She hails from Silver Spring, Maryland. Currently, she is a thesis graduate student at New York University majoring in Film and Television. In her films, she poses questions about identity, society, race, and culture. It is vital to her that under-represented people are shown in film, media, and television.

Metamorphosis tells the story of twin fairies living in alternate universes who destroy an evil creature after a supernatural dream. And, I believe my art is bad because it speaks to humanity and everyone's need to desire friendship, companionship, and alliance. Additionally, I do not think that we ever see girls of colour in media and culture being superheroes or victors. I'm into seeing positive imagery of us.
